Belper Station Volunteers Unveil New Belper Mosaic Sign

he Belper Station Volunteers have unveiled a new destination sign at the Belper Railway Station. The sign replicates the previous artwork, a mosaic made from recycled and discarded ceramics, recreating the mosaic design with long-lasting thermoplastics (the same materials that are used in road signage and markings).  Richard Bett, who co-ordinated the project, made a speech thanking everyone involved and, particularly, the volunteers who helped to create the new sign.  The sign can be seen from the railway platforms, is located on platform one, and celebrates Belper as an Historic Town committed to sustainability.
