For those of us in favour of 20mph speed limits, there was a disappointing conclusion to Derbyshire County Council’s proposal to introduce town-wide schemes in Buxton and Long Eaton.  Following consultation the proposal was rejected at DCC’s Cabinet meeting on 7 December.  Details are in the report accessible via the link below.  DCC has no plans to trial 20mph limits in other locations in the county.
