Did you know that one of the most powerful actions you can take to reduce your carbon emissions is to stop flying?
Would you be able to take a whole year off from flying?
Flight Free are challenging people to take the ‘Flight Free 2022 pledge’ and you can find out more at our next Green Exchange & Repair Café.
On Saturday March 26th the Green Exchange & Repair Café are going to be hosting Anna Hughes, the Director for Flight Free UK. She’ll be talking to us about the campaign which is asking people to take a year off flying to reduce carbon emissions and create a social shift away from aviation.
We’re sure you’ll learn more about the climate impact of aviation and also be inspired to travel by other means.
As always the Belper Repair Café will be open. The idea of the Repair Café is to mend and repair items that would otherwise be thrown away. Please see the Facebook page for details of what can be repaired. If you are a ‘fixer’ and have some time and skills to spare you can volunteer through the Facebook page – or contact the Repair Café by email.
You can even enjoy a hot drink and some cake whilst you wait!
