Green Exchange and Repair Café – No 28

Transition Belper’s Green Exchange and the Repair Café are back on November 27th at Number 28 from 10-1pm.
It’s that time of the year when we start to put the heating on and inevitably the bills shoot up…luckily, Transition Belper are on hand with a team of experts to share their advice on home energy!
But who is this dream team of home energy experts?
Chris Ring and TB’s resident energy expert Tony Cooper will be on hand to offer advice on home energy efficiency. Chris Ring, who has recently completed a course on the practicalities of improving this with the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT), will be giving a brief introductory talk about what he has learnt and what steps he is taking to make is home better insulated
As always the Belper Repair Café will be open. The idea of the Repair Café is to mend and repair items that would otherwise be thrown away. Please see the Facebook page for details of what can be repaired. If you are a ‘fixer’ and have some time and skills to spare you can volunteer through the Facebook page – or contact the Repair Café by email.
You can even enjoy a hot drink and some cake whilst you wait!
