Green Exchange and Repair Café – at the Strutts Centre

A place to meet other green-minded folks from our community, as well as find out about the activities of Transition Belper. The aim of this monthly event is for people to bring and swap any surplus or unwanted items they have, such as garden produce, seeds, books, children’s shoes etc – each month we try to have a different theme so look out for details. We plan to hold ’10 minute taster talks’ soon. If you have an idea and would like to get involved, please contact us at: info@transitionbelper.org

The idea of the Repair Café is to mend and repair items that would otherwise be thrown away. Please see the Facebook page for details of what can be repaired. If you are a ‘fixer’ and have some time and skills to spare you can volunteer through the Facebook page – or contact the Repair Café by email.

As usual, there will be light refreshments of tea, coffee and cakes (donations welcome!) and a TetraPak collection – bring along your cartons washed, flattened and with the lids on to be taken for recycling, as the kerbside collection does not take them.
