BHive – Belper Eco Hub

B-hive was the ethical retailing initiative of Becky Newton, which was launched at Belper Goes Green 2016 and then operated successfully on Belper Farmers’ Market until Spring 2017. At that point Becky was unable to continue the project, but bulk liquids continued to be sold at the Green Exchange by Adrian. This continued until Sue McFarlane opened Sue’s Sustainables in Summer 2018, when the remaining B-Hive stock was sold to her and B-Hive was finally wound up as we preferred to support Sue rather than compete with her.

Thanks are due to Becky and Adrian for B-Hive, The ultimate objective was to create an ‘eco-hub’ in Belper, and at least this has been largely realised by Sue’s Sustainables located at de Bradelei Mill together with Vegan Revelation.
