Belper Boom! Is a global bateria formed by Chris Lewis-Jones, formerly Artistic Director Sambawamba carnival arts company.

The band’s repertoire is influenced by samba and the rhythms of Brazil, but also includes Hip Hop, Drum’n’bass, Bhangra and kabuki styles.

Belper Boom! Is committed to playing at local community events and political demonstrations. Boomers meet monthly on Saturday mornings at Strutt’s Community Centre.
