Belper Apple Day Returns on Sunday 16th October

Belper Apple Day Returns on Sunday 16th October

Cooking apples, eating apples, bramleys, cox’s, russets, pippins, mouth-watering or inedible…we are surrounded by them as autumn takes hold!

After the success of last year’s event, Apple Day 2022 is back to celebrate all things appley in Belper.

Apple Day is a national festival, we’ll be joining in on Sunday 16th October at Belper Community Hall (Bridge Street) from 10.30 am to 2.20 pm.

What exactly is Apple Day?

If you eat, grow, or cook with apples, or just have too many of them, then Apple Day is for you.

On the day there will be:

  • Displays and tasting of local varieties
  • Apple bakes and refreshments
  • Games and crafts for all ages.
  • and much more!

You’ll also be able to speak to experts and get advice and information on buying and cultivating apple trees, as well as help to share surplus apples.

How can I join in?

The more helpers, bakers, juicing and catering assistants to lend a hand the better!

If you do want to contribute contact Chris Ring (Transition Belper’s Apple Day co-ordinator), at chrisdring@outlook.com for more information.

See you there!

And even if not, bring yourselves! Bring your interest, ideas, enthusiasm and appetite to Belper’s Apple Day this year.

It won’t be the same without you!
