Following the Belper Community Conversation day on the 2nd October, a group came together who expressed interest in saving Belper’s East Mill, the historic world heritage landmark of this amazing market town. We are concerned about its future and the threat of losing UNESCO status due to its state of disrepair.

The focus of the group is to get together committed people who have some time to offer and are passionate to make an impact.

Is this you? The initial focus is to get clarity on what is going on with the building involving the pending planning permission between the council and business owner of the mill and then devise a plan to raise local awareness and facilitate public engagement through a petition and/or public event in Belper.
