Green Homes Grant: Save Money On Energy Saving Improvements Now

At the end of September the Government opened a Green Homes Grant scheme to provide help for homeowners in England. We would like to remind you that you can apply for vouchers worth up to £10,000 to make your home more energy efficient.

The Green Homes Grant scheme (GHG) is a voucher scheme with an allocated budget of around £2 billion. The scheme is designed to improve the energy efficiency of homes.

Households must:

  • Apply for the voucher from the end of September (check the website for details).
  • Redeem the voucher and ensure improvements are scheduled to be completed by 31 March 2021.

The Government’s eligibility checker tool on the Simple Energy Advice (SEA) gives details on what improvements can be made to your home, how to obtain quotes from certified businesses that are part of the scheme and how to apply for the vouchers once a quote has been obtained.
