Important info re BGG’s camping policy!!
We have had to change our camping policy to meet local authority insurance requirements which will enable the festival to be safe for all:
In order to camp this year, the adults in your party will need to register as volunteers & spend a couple of hours per day as site wardens, doing tasks such as litter-picking. The cost for camping is £10 for the weekend per tent or camper van.
This is due to the fact that our event has grown so much, so we are having to observe a different set of local authority regulations meaning we can’t simply offer paid camping.
You will need to book your camping using the form below.
And then book to volunteer here: www.transitionbelper.org/BGG%20volunteering.html (We will need all adults to enrol as authorised volunteers to satisfy insurance requirements).
If you’d prefer not to volunteer, there are other campsites in the area, and they can be located on websites such as www.ukcampsite.co.uk
For any other info please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Camping will be at the far end of the festival site by the Babington Hospital/Buildbase wall and accessed via the Rugby Club entrance. All proceeds from camping will go towards providing portaloos.
Note there are several conditions attached this year:
Campers to arrive Friday evening no later than 8.00p.m. (they will need to be escorted to the camp site because we have people on site wandering about and the Beer Festival is open from 6.00pm.
Saturday arrivals need to be on site by 9.30 latest.
Once on site cars cannot move around. (They will need to see an official to be escorted off site in case of an emergency.)
Cars cannot vacate site at any time while the festival is open on any day.
No bbqs or campfires.
Music to be switched off by 23.00hrs.
